Social sciences tend to contribute to and expand opportunities for development in society, facing adaptations to new and multiple challenges in scenarios related to emerging technologies. These disciplines orient their perspectives towards a concept of integral education that promotes positive changes and provides answers to current problems. In this context, the following research question arises: What are the characteristics of research related to the learning process associated with understanding the spatial and temporal dimensions of events, problems, and social practices, from an interactive perspective? Objective: To identify the characteristics of research related to the learning process associated with the understanding of the spatial and temporal dimensions of events, problems, and social practices, from an interactive perspective. Methodology: Multiple triangulation was used, combining data, methodological contributions and qualitative coding in a bibliographic review of 45 research articles: 15 international, 15 national (Colombia) and 15 local (Barranquilla and its surroundings), published between 2016 and 2023. Results: Students show a greater capacity for social adaptation when they participate in classroom activities that integrate spatial and temporal dimensions with events, problems, and social practices. The interactive implementation of infographics along with these dimensions and events is perceived as an innovation that facilitates the teaching process and develops content analysis and synthesis skills, thus improving their digital literacy. Conclusions: It is essential to understand spatial and temporal dimensions, problematic events and social practices from an interactive perspective in order to achieve the integral education of students, which contributes significantly to the improvement of teaching processes in the social sciences. Interactivity and connectivism are particularly effective when infographics are used, as opposed to the use of timelines.
