The study evaluated the biosafety knowledge of imaging technologists in three health facilities in the city of Pasto, Nariño.For this purpose, a checklist was used to evaluate the imaging safety protocols in the three institutions. Fourteen workers wereinterviewed on physical, chemical, biological, and environmental aspects through a questionnaire with a total of 29 questions. Inaddition, a training program was developed based on the learning needs identified. Although the technologists generally showeda high level of knowledge, physical risks were identified such as: vision, lighting, noise and temperature problems. In addition,a significant percentage do not follow the venipuncture protocol despite being aware of it. Therefore, it is crucial to maintainvigilance and continuous education to improve occupational safety and ensure optimal standards in the healthcare environment.
