Objective: To compare the physical characteristics of players from two sports clubs, with reference to the injury index of different populations, including professional soccer players. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study with univariate statistical analysis. Results: A great difference was found between each athlete and their capacities, according to their university or beginner training plan. Conclusion: The importance of sports physiotherapy, evaluation and integral treatment in the sports world is highlighted, as well as the participation of the physiotherapist in sports practice, in order to reduce the risk of injury and improve the athlete’s abilities.
