Descripción
Activities of daily living are a topic of interest for occupational therapy professionals; therefore, this article conducts an análisis of an autonomy program and its relationship with functional rehabilitation in hospitalized patients who respond to different sections, including sociodemographic questionnaires, under a measure of their activities through the Functional Independence Scale. The objective of this project is to promote a level of independence and functionality through different intervention strategies based on activities, which arises as a result of an institutional project carried out in a third level hospital in the department of Nariño. The program was developed with the participation of 112 patients, taking into account their specific needs and seeking to improve their state of health and well-being. The methodology is structured in three phases: first, an information-gathering survey is conducted to identify the activities affected by the clinical diagnosis; in the second phase, promotion and prevention strategies are designed tailored to individual needs; finally, a dissemination booklet is developed to summarize and disseminate the autonomy program, raising awareness among both patients and their families of the importance of developing activities.
