Chronic noncommunicable diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes, are responsible for 82% of deaths per year, at ages of 70 years. Palliative care generates a change in the care of patients in terminal stages or with chronic diseases, in addition, they allow a nursing and medical care with comprehensive care, from physical, emotional and social aspects, help to face the multiple aspects of care of patients suffering from a serious illness, since they focus on the relief of pain and other symptoms of a chronic disease to maintain the quality of life of patients and their family caregivers.
