Description
This research process sought to identify the characteristics of the pedagogical models of two institutions to describe the pedagogical strategies applied by teachers in the area of Natural Sciences in their classroom sessions, to determine the relationship between what was described in the Institutional Educational Project and their practice in the development of the classes and finally, to propose an improvement plan for the area in accordance with the institutional pedagogical models. The methodological design of the research was proposed from a qualitative paradigm of hermeneutical and ethnographic approach. 968 elementary school students and 44 teachers were taken as the unit of analysis, 96 students and six teachers from the Pío XII and José Antonio Galán Normal Higher Education Institutions as a work unit. As information gathering techniques, documentary analysis, ethnographic interview and participant observation were used.
