The present article is the result of the encounter with families that were victims of forced disappearance, developed with the interest of knowing their psychosocial impact. In this sense, it is important to recognize the objectives focused on the psychosocial impact at the individual, family and social level, in order to seek a better understanding and clarification of information that allows intensifying the possible changes and damages that the indirect victims must manage and face.The research was carried out using a methodology that contains the qualitative paradigm; it tries to perceive the reality of information from an objective and knowable point, with a historical hermeneutical focus that seeks the true meaning of interpretation of the information obtained, becoming an ethnographic research, emphasizing the process of analysis and interpretation of the sociocultural field in the one that developed the investigation.The techniques used for the collection of information were life history and focal group, giving as results, that the psychosocial impact at the individual level, recognizes the affectation in thoughts, feelings, sensations, desires on a personal level, as well as, the feasible imbalance of the dynamics and family communication before the disappearance of a loved one. Finally, at the social level it is observed how the accompaniment of the victims becomes incomplete on the part of the entities in charge of the attention; likewise, it must be recognized that in the face of forced disappearance, society is intimidated to the point of hindering the interaction between family and society.
