Social imaginaries are understood as those mental constructions socially shared and incorporated in social institutions, for which the interest arises in unveiling those that are built around the territory and imaginary borders within the Commune 10 of Pasto. This research was developed based on the qualitative paradigm with a phenomenological approach, using data collection techniques such as the focus group and discussion group. Among the main results, it was found that the institutional social imaginaries are related to conceptions such as territoriality, death, intergenerational conflict, honor, family and loyalty, while the established ones are constituted by territorial control and micro-powers, which greatly influence the consolidation of imaginary frontiers, means of subsistence and representational framework of urban violence in the becoming of micro-powers in Commune 10.
