The research sought to identify basic needs and nursing care needed by colostomized patients to start again their social life, having to face a number of emotional, spiritual, and social problems, because they feel their physiological, spiritual and social needs are interrupted due to the dysfunction and disfigurement that accompany the stoma. The study was carried out with colostomized patients older than 18 years old who have received care and treatment in different health institutions in Pasto city.
