dc.descriptionSanitary assistance is essential and must be based on scientific methods and practical technologies, placed to reach of all the individuals and families of the community. Primary care forms a part of the national system of health and the social and economic development of the community. It represents the first level of individuals, family and community for getting contact.Health and disease are a part of several natural and social factors in continuous interaction with the use of infrastructure services and equipment, which are responsible for giving the necessary facilities   to satisfy inhabitants, tourists or visitors’ basic needs and improve their quality of life. Among the 17 villages that belong to Pasto city, 4 do not have health centers: Jamondino, Jongovito, Mocondino and San Fernando; consumers who need care, they must go to the nearest health institution according to their housing location.Health services given are of first level directed to poor, vulnerable and displaced population and those ones who are affiliated consumers to the subsidized scheme EPS.Sanitary assistance is essential and must be based on scientific methods and practical technologies, placed to reach of all the individuals and families of the community. dc.descriptionLa asistencia sanitaria es esencial y debe es-tar basada en métodos y tecnologí­as prácticas, cientí­ficamente fundadas y socialmente aceptables, puestas al alcance de todos los individuos y familias de la comunidad mediante su plena participación y a un costo soportable, a través de aspectos administrativos en todas y cada una de las etapas de su desarrollo con un espí­ritu de autorresponsabilidad y autodeterminación. La atención primaria forma parte integrante tanto del sistema nacional de salud, del que constituye la función central y el núcleo principal, como del desarrollo social y económico global de la comunidad. Representa el primer nivel de contacto de los individuos, la familia y la comunidad, enmarcando una serie de acciones de salud pública, sean de diagnóstico, prevención, curación y rehabilitación, que deben realizarse desde un nivel primario y local en beneficio de la comunidad, además de ser el nivel básico e integrante de cualquier sistema de salud. La salud y la enfermedad no son categorí­as o estados ní­tidamente diferenciados, si no que son parte de diversos factores naturales y sociales en continua interacción con el aprovechamiento de los servicios de infraestructura y equipamiento adecuados, que son los encargados de dar a los habitantes de la comunidad, al turista o al visitante las facilidades necesarias para satisfacer sus necesidades básicas y mejorar la calidad de vida. De los 17 corregimientos que hacen parte del municipio de Pasto, 4 no cuentan con centros de salud: Jamondino, Jongovito, Mocondino y San Fernando; los usuarios que necesitan atención acuden a la insti-tución prestadora de servicios de salud más cercana de acuerdo al sitio de ubicación de la vivienda. Los servicios de salud que se presta son de primer nivel de atención y van dirigidos a los usuarios que estén afiliados a las EPS del régimen subsidiado, población pobre y vul-nerable y desplazados, según la ley 387.es-ES
